We are looking for an experienced Engineering Group Lead with strong architectural knowledge to lead our Core group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software engineering leadership and a deep understanding of software architecture principles. You will play a crucial role in guiding our engineering teams, driving technological excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of our products. 

In our Core group, you’ll get to lead talented teams with both backend, frontend, and data engineers that build foundational components used in every part of the LinearB system.

Responsibilities:

• You will lead and manage multiple infrastructure engineering teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous learning and improvement.
• Advantage -Provide architectural vision and guidance across multiple projects to ensure cohesive and scalable solutions.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in software engineering, including code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
• Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring timely communication of project status and issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful integration of new features and technologies.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
• Promote a culture of innovation by encouraging team members to propose and experiment with new ideas.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams in an agile environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with modern software development technologies and tools, such as cloud platforms, microservices, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the software development lifecycle and product delivery in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Knowledge of LinearB products and a passion for improving engineering efficiency and productivity
• Proven experience with designing architecture with support of scale in all tiers (Web, API, Database)
